Had this yesterday at Disneyland. I am lactose intolerant and was surprised to have the usual dairy cramping response a few hours later so I’m not sure that this is truly non dairy.
Ashley Craft | 3rd Jun 19
Oh wow really?!? Yikes!! Well as you can see my version is 100% dairy free. So hopefully Disneyland gets their act together! Maybe you had one too many Jedi Mind Tricks?!? 😂
Theodore Lasig | 12th Jul 19
Classic placebo effect. Your brain thinks you will get dairy cramps and you most likely will.
JW | 13th Jun 19
It has dragon fruit not passion fruit.
Ashley Craft | 13th Jun 19
Yeah….I do know that. But I couldn’t find Dragon Fruit flavoring so I went with Passion Fruit. What would you say Dragon Fruit tastes like?
Samantha Smith | 16th Jun 19
Dragon fruit tastes exactly like a kiwi
Ashley Craft | 16th Jun 19
Ah! Very good to know! Thanks!
Sam | 1st Jul 19
I wonder if I could use real dragon fruits cut up instead of the flavor ?
Ashley Craft | 1st Jul 19
Excellent idea! I’ll have to give it a try
Bev | 19th Dec 20
It tastes nothing like kiwi…it LOOKS like kiwi but is a pretty bland, sort of sweet fruit.
Fae | 28th Nov 20
Even though it might be a bit annoying, I’m sure you can make dragon fruit syrup by cooking. That’s what I’m doing with the watermelon!
Yogi | 7th Aug 19
Do you have a green milk as-well?
Ashley Craft | 7th Aug 19
I don’t yet, but I need to make one!
OliOli | 21st Aug 19
Has anyone had GE’s blue milk and try Ashley’s recipe already? I’ve been to GE twice and my family and I really like the blue milk and hoping someone can confirm this recipe before we buy all the ingredients.
Ashley Craft | 21st Aug 19
I will be going in a month and will tweak as necessary!
OliOli | 23rd Aug 19
Yay! Can’t wait.
Julia Galayda | 29th Aug 19
I wanna try and make this so bad cuz I loved the taste of blue milk! However the syrups can be pricey since the bottle are hugge! Haha. I have a lost if ingredients of the blue milk! Is there a way to forward the pic? Maybe that’ll help with tweaking?
Ashley Craft | 29th Aug 19
I am planning to rework the recipe after I visit in September!
Julia Galayda | 29th Aug 19
That’s awesome! I’ll wait to see what your final recipe is before buying the ingredients.
If the ingredient list will help you let me know how to get it to you.
Ashley Craft | 29th Aug 19
I have actually seen it — it’s how I made the recipe in the first place! But I’m hoping to make it more accurate and less expensive to make at home!
Chase | 14th Sep 19
Hey there! I’ve heard that if you ask nicely or write Disney guest services, they will send you the recipes of your favorite drinks or dishes. I imagine this is because of diet or allergy concerns. Hope that helps!
Ashley Craft | 14th Sep 19
Thanks chase! I believe they will send the list of ingredients, not the actual recipe :/
Kievan Mereel | 16th Sep 19
Ingredient labels have been leaked:

Ashley Craft | 16th Sep 19
Yep! I saw these back when I made the recipe originally. I used them to help me make the recipe!
Julia G. | 8th Oct 19
Just wondering when you will be tweaking the recipe from your recent visit. Really looking forward to see what you come up with 😊
Ashley Craft | 8th Oct 19
Thanks for checking back in! I think my flavors were actually really really close! I am going to try to tweak it a bit hopefully next week!
Jordan Sloan | 20th Oct 19
I somehow don’t remember the Ronto wrap having a sauce on it? Making these right now!
Ashley Craft | 20th Oct 19
I think it’s described as a Peppercorn Sauce! I made mine kind of like a tzatziki sauce!
Tyler Jordan | 10th Nov 19
Thanks for researching this and posting your version of GE Blue Milk. My family and I were there a few weeks ago and loved Blue Milk so much I immediately went online to try and replicate it. Your version inspired me the most and I decided to try this with the real fruit and not syrups. Luckily we have access to Dragonfruit where I live so I used it. Instead of coconut syrup, I used unsweetened coconut milk. I portioned out the fruits, blended them and reduced them on the stove with some added sugar. After freezing the fruity syrup for a while I added the rice milk and ice and blended it. It really is very close to what I remember. So freaking delicious. Just like with Blue Milk at GE you cannot taste it and easily figure out what’s in it. It tastes of so many things at once. Next time I’me making a huge bucket of this so it goes further in our home. Thanks again, Ashley.
Ashley Craft | 10th Nov 19
Thanks Tyler for letting me know that! You must be an amazing home cook — that sounds like a lot of work to have reduced all those natural syrups! Yummy! Glad you were inspired and got to remember a special day in Galaxy’s Edge
Tyler Jordan | 11th Nov 19
It wasn’t that bad. I only started from a boil and simmered for ten minutes. Rather than make them individually I portioned them together in one combined syrup.
Ashley Craft | 11th Nov 19
Awesome!

Fyi_ I bought the Galaxy Edge cookbook and they used Arrowroot as a thickener. The recipe in the book is more a chai tea brewed in rice milk with a Butterfly Pea tea bag. The Butterfly pea tea is what makes it blue. I made it using coconut milk and it is delish! Obviously it is different then what is served at Olga’s. But…I love chai…so it works for me.
Ashley Craft | 6th Jan 20
I have the book too! I haven’t made that recipe yet, so thanks for the report!
Alex Quinn | 31st Jan 20
This isn’t very close. I was at Disneyland’s Galaxys Edge and had the blue milk. The consistency and flavor is very different.
I think you need dragonfruit powder and I had to cut the pineapple chuncks down to 1/4 cup
Ashley Craft | 31st Jan 20
Thanks for your feedback. Where do you find dragonfruit powder?
Alex Quinn | 2nd Feb 20
It is on Amazon. I also tried your recipe with 1 cup rice milk and 1 cup coconut milk. Also 1/2 cup crushed ice.
It is very close to my recent trip. But it is just ever so slightly off.

Did you use sweetened or unsweetened rice milk?
Ashley Craft | 22nd Apr 20
Sweetened!
Ashley | 14th Sep 20
This recipe looks amazing and I’m going to try and make it for my son’s birthday party. Is the “flavor” syrup or extract? I’m having trouble finding some of these ingredients. Thanks for your help!
Ashley Craft | 14th Sep 20
Yes they are flavored syrups! You can probably order them on Amazon if you have trouble finding them in store. Happy Birthday to your son!

It’s best to take part in a contest for one of the best blogs on the web. I will recommend this website!
Ashley Craft | 5th Nov 20
Wow thank you!
Scott G-J | 18th Nov 20
Can’t wait to try the new version! Unfortunately, I don’t have an ice cream machine. Is there a comparable process or step I can take?
Ashley Craft | 18th Nov 20
Hi there! Is possible you could add some crushed ice and make it in a blender, but I haven’t tested that yet. My guess is the ice would tone the flavor down, so you’d need some more sweetness, either from more watermelon syrup or a simple syrup. Let me know if you work something out!
Scott G-J | 18th Nov 20
Thank you! I’ll try that.
Dwain Seville | 20th Nov 20
Hello! I’ve been reading your website for a while now and finally got the bravery to go ahead and give you a shout out from Lubbock Texas! Just wanted to say keep up the good job!
